Mr. Fenters was born March 28, 1883, at New Brunswick, Ind. He lived in South Dakota as a youth and came to Sioux City in 1907. He married Nellie Grace February 20, 1909 at Dakota City, Neb. The couple lived in Omaha and Sac City, Ia., before moving to Sioux City in 1922. Mrs. Fenters died here May 11, 1949. Mr. Fenters was employed at the Sioux City Foundry and Boiler Co. and the Metz Baking Co., before ill health forced his retirement six years ago. He was a member of the Morningside Church of Christ. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Margaret Grace and Mrs. Harry Powell, both of Sioux City. Autha had another brother, William Roy Fenters, who was born 31 Oct 1887 in Danville, Indiana. On Roy's Application for Marriage License to Laura Marlette, he lists his name as W. Roy Franklin, but lists his parents as Robert Fenters & Nancy J. Reynard. He was raised by Henry Major Franklin & Sarah Rennard Major. Sarah was a sister to Nancy. I wonder if Nancy & Robert knew they were too ill to raise this boy and gave him to Nancy's sister & husband to raise as their own.
