Description	:	Ava Friskup The funeral for Ava F. Friskup, 94, of Fremont was held on Friday, April 22nd at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. She died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. She was born Jan. 10, 1911, in Minden to Lewis F. and Mabel (White) Newbold. She was raised and graduated from high school at Minden. She worked for a law firm in Chicago as a secretary for several years, then worked as a secretary for Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, Okla., for several years and later in Santa Monica, Calif.... Read More	Ava Friskup The funeral for Ava F. Friskup, 94, of Fremont was held on Friday, April 22nd at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. She died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. She was born Jan. 10, 1911, in Minden to Lewis F. and Mabel (White) Newbold. She was raised and graduated from high school at Minden. She worked for a law firm in Chicago as a secretary for several years, then worked as a secretary for Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, Okla., for several years and later in Santa Monica, Calif. After moving to Fremont, she worked for seven years for Ron Shaw, Certified Public Accountant. She married Frank Ottoboni in 1949 in California. They later divorced. She married Lloyd R. Friskup in 1959 in Burbank, Calif. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1992. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Martha Circle and the Builders Class at the church, American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) local Chapter 2056 and the Eight to 10 Extension Club, all in Fremont. Survivors include: a son, Randolph Ottoboni of Fremont; a stepson, Lloyd "Kent" Friskup of Chandler, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Arden) DeBore of LaFayette, Minn.; three sisters, Eunice (Mrs. Wayne) Clark of Dallas, Beverly (Mrs. Carlos) Chinas of Chico, Calif., and Britomarte Madsen of Grants Pass, Ore.; six stepgrandchildren and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. The Rev. Greg Hall will officiate Friday's service. Burial was at a later date in White Hill Cemetery in Minden.
