BROWN Urbandale Avis M. Brown, of Urbandale, Iowa, formerly of Zearing, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. She is survived by her husband, Bill Brown, of Urbandale, Iowa; four sons, Eric (Diane ) Brown of Zearing, Iowa, Peter Brown of San Diego, California, Kurt (Kim) Brown of Battlecreek, Iowa, Rod (Mary Ann) Brown of East Moline, Illinois; one daughter, Becky (Kevin) Moser of Urbandale, Iowa; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lori Brown; and one sister-in-law, Shirley Wickham. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Dakins Community Center at 105 Main St., in Zearing, Iowa. Interment will be in the Lincoln Township Cemetery at Zearing, Iowa. There will be no visitation service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be directed to the Easter Seals of Iowa. Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing, Iowa, is in charge of the arrangements.
