Description	:	Obituary Ayako ("Butch") Hatano Goff, 86, of Conway, South Carolina, died peacefully at the Conway Medical Center on Friday, April 15, 2016. Born on May 28, 1929, in Tohoku-gun, Tottori-ken, Japan, Ayako was the daughter of the late Sen and Chozo Hatano. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, six brothers, and one son-in-law. Surviving in addition to her best friend and husband of 62 years, Daniel F. Read More	Obituary Ayako ("Butch") Hatano Goff, 86, of Conway, South Carolina, died peacefully at the Conway Medical Center on Friday, April 15, 2016. Born on May 28, 1929, in Tohoku-gun, Tottori-ken, Japan, Ayako was the daughter of the late Sen and Chozo Hatano. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, six brothers, and one son-in-law. Surviving in addition to her best friend and husband of 62 years, Daniel F. Goff, are one son, William Goff (Judy) of Conway; three daughters: Gail Sproles (Stephen) of Moore, S.C., Audrey Skipper of Blythewood, S.C., and Trudy Edwards (Deryl) of Forest, VA; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a large extended family. Ayako was a member of University Baptist Church and was known as kind, loving, gentle, and patient to all. She enjoyed growing plants and flowers and cooking and baking. Ayako and Daniel were inseparable and their companionship was filled with laughter, love, and Braves baseball games. Ayako loved her Lord and Savior and found comfort and guidance in the Holy Scriptures. A graveside service in memory of Ayako will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 3:00PM, officiated by Rev. Brandon Delk. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vasculitis Foundation. Heartfelt appreciation is expressed for the support and care of her friends and church, and for her caregivers, who have shown such grace and compassion during her illness. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, is serving the family.
