Aileen Rohde Holdrege
B. Aileen Rohde, 83, of Holdrege (formerly of Eddyville) passed away Sept. 29, 2004 at Christian Homes in Holdrege, where she had resided for the last 2 ½ years.
Services will be conducted from the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege on Monday, Oct. 4, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Pastors Kevin Lund and Murray Jones, officiating.
Interment will be in the Jewell Cemetery near Sumner at 2 p.m.
Aileen will lie in state at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family greeting from 3 p.m....

Aileen was born Aug. 26, 1921 northeast of Eddyville in Custer County to Irvin and Golda (Hanks) Loffer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Connie Rohde of Overton, and Tony Rohde of Alma; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Tim Moomey of Holdrege; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Burr of Gibbon and Genny Fuestman and her husband, Dale of Amherst; and two brothers-in-law, Bernadine Sullivan of Eddyville and Glenn Rohde and his wife, Jo of Sumner.
Other survivors include, six grandchildren, Kelly Buck and her husband, Jerry, Kory Rohde, Trent Rohde and his wife, Tyanne, Brandon Rohde, Andrea Moomey and Daniele Moomey; eight great-grandchildren, Joshua, Ethan, Andrew and Eric Rohde, Emily and Tyler Buck, Abbey Rohde and Colby Rohde; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Aileen grew up in the Eddyville area and graduated from Eddyville High School with the class of 1938.
She then pursued higher education at Kearney Normal School and upon completion of her education she taught in a rural school near Bushnell for three years.
On Sept. 19, 1943, Aileen was united in marriage to Homer Rohde and to this union three children were born: Lonnie, Tony and Sue.
They resided in the Eddyville area on a farm for nearly fifty years. From 1970 to 1979 she was a cook for the Sumner-Eddyville-Miller elementary school in Eddyville.
In 1993, Aileen and Homer moved to Kearney. On Aug. 15, 1994 her husband Homer passed away. She then moved to Holdrege in July of 1999.
She was a 45 year member of the Eddyville Grace United Methodist and Kearney Faith United Methodist Churches.
She was active as a director of Vacation Bible School, women's society and a Sunday School Teacher.
After moving to Holdrege she attended the Trinity Evangelical Free Church.
Aileen enjoyed gardening, playing cards, cooking and also spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandson, Tyler; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Adine and Gene Fleming and Billie and Ivor Schuck; her parents-in-law, Roland and Mayme Rohde; a sister-in-law, Madeline Rohde; and two brothers-in-law, Howard Rohde and Roy Burr.
Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
