She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Sterling and a past member of the American Lutheran Church of Adams. Read More	Sterling--Barbara Ann Scott, 42, Sterling, died in a Lincoln hospital on Wednesday evening, April 16, 1997, from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born Oct. 25, 1954, in Beatrice and was a graduate of Adams High School in 1973. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Sterling and a past member of the American Lutheran Church of Adams. Her hobbies were flowers and gardening and she liked to watch things grow. She married James W. "Jim" Scott on June 8, 1973, at the American Lutheran Church of Adams, and she moved to Sterling in 1973. At the time of her death, she was co-owner and operator of Scott's Place in Sterling. Survivors: James W. "Jim" ; daughter, Angela Scott of the home; parents, Alfred and Delores Holz of Adams; brother, Allan Holz of Adams; sisters, Kathleen Nieveen and husband Kelvin, Marlene Straube and husband Craig, all of Sterling, Karen Stohs and husband Gary of Odell; nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Joyce Scott of Sterling; sister-in-law Kris Kelle and husband Richard of Sterling; grandmother-in-law, Marjorie Langholz of Sterling. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, Sterling High School Auditorium, Sterling, Pastor Doyle Karst officiating. Burial: Sterling Cemetery.
