The daughter of Clem and Eleanor Hedges, she was born in Clatskanie Dec. 1, 1933. She was raised in Garibaldi, and graduated from Garibaldi High School. She married her husband of 53 years, Darrell King, Sept. 3, 1955, in Raymond, Wash. Barbara was a homemaker (one of the best). She married her husband of 53 years, Darrell King, Sept. 3, 1955, in Raymond, Wash. Barbara was a homemaker (one of the best). She loved taking care of her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside and could often be found spending time with her horses. Barbara is survived by her husband, Darrell; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jerry Bannish; two sons, Rod King and Curtis King, both of Menlo; two brothers, Jerry Hedges of Alaska and Gary Hedges of Arizona; eight grandchildren: Rachelle King, Laci Fourtner, Chris Bannish, Alyson King, Aaron King, Devon King, Luke King and Nathan Ente; two great grandsons, Brandyn and Christian King. A graveside service will be Thursday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo, Wash. Memorials may be made in her name to Helping Hands; P.O. Box 105, Lebam, WA 98554.
