Description	:	Barbara Kueker, 72, of Waverly, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Unity Point Health – Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Barbara Ann Kueker was born on March 7, 1942, the daughter of Robert and Anna Allene (Engel) Leistikow in Waterloo. She attended schools in Bremer and Black Hawk counties and graduated from Orange Township High School near Waterloo and the State College of Iowa, now the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Read More	Barbara Kueker, 72, of Waverly, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Unity Point Health – Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Barbara Ann Kueker was born on March 7, 1942, the daughter of Robert and Anna Allene (Engel) Leistikow in Waterloo. She attended schools in Bremer and Black Hawk counties and graduated from Orange Township High School near Waterloo and the State College of Iowa, now the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Barbara began her teaching career in Williamsburg, Iowa, for two years. On July 24, 1966, she was united in marriage to Donald Kueker in Waterloo and the couple lived on the family farm in rural Waverly. Barbara then taught school in Tripoli for 2 years before starting their family and helping Don on the farm. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Artesian, rural Waverly. Barbara played in the Waverly Municipal Band, was active with 4-H as a Fair Superintendent, enjoyed playing the accordion, going to Polka dances, helping with Elections and attending LWML Conventions. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events. Survivors are her husband, Donald of Waverly, Iowa; two sons, Gary (Karol) Kueker of West Union, Iowa and Kevin (Cherish) Kueker of Waverly, Iowa; daughter, Janiece (Dave) Kramer of Fredericksburg, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Dru, Justin, Megan, Kyle and Caden Kueker, Connor and Kolton Kramer; two brothers, LaVerne (Judy) Leistikow of Readlyn, Iowa, and Rodney (Pat) Leistikow of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Artesian, rural Waverly with Pastor Keith Brustuen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly and also an hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Artesian, Fun in the Son Preschool or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
