Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 20, 2020 at First Freewill Baptist Church in Pageland by Rev. Melvin Keziah with burial to follow in the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Hargett was born January 17, 1958 in Monroe, NC a daughter of the late James Vonder and Ruby Hartis McManus. Barbara was a faithful member of First Freewill Baptist Church. She loved eating out with her family and friends but her greatest love were her grandchildren, whom were the apple of her eye. Barbara was a homemaker who loved her family but also enjoyed working at the Jefferson-Pageland Dragstrip where she worked in the kitchen. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her son, Chris Hargett; sister, Sammie Kay McManus; and brother, Charles and Johnny McManus. Survivors include her children; Lisa (Ed Helms) Hargett of Pageland, Amy (TJ) Elks of Jefferson, SC, Jessica (Antwain) Miller of Lancaster, SC; grandchildren, Chris (Katie) Griffin, Timothy Griffin, Graci (Airwick Alexander) Griffin, Kierra Patterson, Bubba Elks, Ayden Elks, Kiya Elks, Destiny Elks, Kayla, Dakota, numerous others that she claimed as her own; great-grandchildren, Weston, Easton, and Ryland; sisters, Shirley (Edd Belk) Steen of Jefferson, Betty (Randy) Horne of Pageland; brothers, Ronnie (Daisey Mae) McManus of Pageland and Lewis (Peggy) McManus of Pageland; Sister-in-law, Catherine McManus of Pageland and Wanda Aldridge of Monroe, NC; and her companion of 30 years Scott Griffin of Lancaster, SC Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) of Chesterfield, SC is serving the Hargett family.
