She was preceded in death by her father, Otis Snow; sister, Janet Jarrell; grandparents, Ruben and Emmy Snow; nephew, Larry Snow, Jr.; father in law, Willie Snow; and brother in law, Donald Snow. She was preceded in death by her father, Otis Snow; sister, Janet Jarrell; grandparents, Ruben and Emmy Snow; nephew, Larry Snow, Jr.; father in law, Willie Snow; and brother in law, Donald Snow. Cherishing her memories are her mother, Mary Breeden Snow; husband of 41 years, Curtis Snow; children, Bruce Snow and Cory Snow and Florence; grandchildren, Addison Snow and Liam Snow; Step-grandchildren, Taylor Snow, Sarah and Dillion Thompson; siblings, Larry Snow and Carolyn, David Snow and James Snow; mother in law, Marie Snow; brother in law, Billy Jarrell; and aunt, Nita Eppard. She also enjoyed her extended family that included numerous nieces, nephew, great-nephews, cousins, and Jean Breeden whom she thought of as a great friend, cousin, and someone who always gave her unconditional love, dedication and support. Barbara was a devoted member of South River Church and served on many of the church boards. She was a member of the Greene County Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary for many years.Family was always an important part of her daily life. Her heart and door was always open to family, friends, neighbors, and the many children she cared for over the many years. Words can never express the love she had and shared to help enrich and encourage these young lives. She was forever grateful for the parents who allowed her to show and share what LOVE really means. Barbara loved the mountains, gospel music, baking, and cooking for her church, flowers, cardinals, bus trips, and memories of her family trips to the beach. To continue her positive legacy and her zeal for life, share a kind word, smile, or as she always did try to make a difference in someone's life. A graveside service and burial will be held at Pocosan Mountain Cemetery on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gordon Meriweather.Preddy Funeral Home of Madison will be in charge of arrangements. (Daily Progress)
