She attended school and was confirmed in the Catholic faith there. She married John H. Kamlowsky while in that country in May 1884. Before coming to America 55 years ago, two children were born there. Mr. and Mrs. Kamlowsky settled in Topeka, Kansas, where the remaining eight children were born. Mr. Kamlowsky was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka until 1922 where Mr. Kamlowsky continued his railroad work with the Chicago Great Western. After a prolonged illness of nearly a year, Mrs. Kamlowsky passed away Wednesday morning, October 25th at 4:30 o'clock Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, John Jr., of Wheeling. W. Va., and Albert of Kansas City, Kans.; and seven daughters, Mrs. George Heffner, Tokepa, Kans., Mrs. Katie Bieler, Los Angeles, Mrs. George Jones, Casper, Calif., Mrs. Jess Snyder, San Francisco, Mrs. Ray Bloom. South Gate, Calif., Mrs. Martha St. Johns, Calif., and Mrs. Al Rogers, Los Angeles. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Frank two years ago and also an infant son. Services were held at the Sacred Heart Church Saturday at 9:00 o'clock with the Rev. Father J. O'Hajan officiating. Interment was at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein. Oelwein Daily Register, 11/1/1944
