Description	:	Barbara left her earthly life on Saturday February 8, 2020. She was born November 27, 1923 to Levi Gilbert Miller and Annie Josephine Alter Miller on the family farm near Wayland Iowa. The family moved to the Loveland area in 1930. Barbara attended school in the Loveland area, graduating from Loveland High School. She graduated from Colorado A and M (now CSU) with a degree in Home Economics and a teaching certificate. Barbara taught at Big Thompson Elementary School for 2 years before she married Marvin Filbert Lawson on July 4, 1947. To this marriage two daughters... Read More	Barbara left her earthly life on Saturday February 8, 2020. She was born November 27, 1923 to Levi Gilbert Miller and Annie Josephine Alter Miller on the family farm near Wayland Iowa. The family moved to the Loveland area in 1930. Barbara attended school in the Loveland area, graduating from Loveland High School. She graduated from Colorado A and M (now CSU) with a degree in Home Economics and a teaching certificate. Barbara taught at Big Thompson Elementary School for 2 years before she married Marvin Filbert Lawson on July 4, 1947. To this marriage two daughters were born. When both daughters were in school full time, Barbara returned to teaching and retired from teaching in 1983.Barbara married again, after they re-connected having dated while Barbara was attending college and he was stationed in Fort Collins doing training for the army. Barbara moved to Maryland where he was living after they were married. They moved to the Loveland about 13 years ago. Barbara was active in the First Baptist Church in Loveland for most of her life. Serving in many different capacities and being part of the vocal choir and bell choir for many years. Barbara was pre-deceased by her parents, husband Marvin, sisters Alice Marie Ericson and Helen Elizabeth Miller, son-in-law Roger Allen Bokelman, 1 niece and 2 nephews, and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Barbara is survived by her husband, daughters, step-daughters grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews.
