Description	:	Barbara was born to Arthur and Doris Fuller on Feb. 21, 1927, in Clarkston. Her younger brother, Buck, preceded her in death. Barb graduated from Clarkston High School in 1945 and was involved with many school activities. She was a Girls League officer, a band member and officer, sang with the Glee Club, served on the junior prom committee, and participated with the Horizon Club and Radio Speech Club. During her senior year, she was honored with receipt of the Kiwanis Citizenship Award that recognized her leadership of character, cooperation, efficiency and scholastic standing. After high school she entered nursing school... Read More	Barbara was born to Arthur and Doris Fuller on Feb. 21, 1927, in Clarkston. Her younger brother, Buck, preceded her in death. Barb graduated from Clarkston High School in 1945 and was involved with many school activities. She was a Girls League officer, a band member and officer, sang with the Glee Club, served on the junior prom committee, and participated with the Horizon Club and Radio Speech Club. During her senior year, she was honored with receipt of the Kiwanis Citizenship Award that recognized her leadership of character, cooperation, efficiency and scholastic standing. After high school she entered nursing school at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. She fell in love with and married Wayne M. Brown of Pomeroy on Dec. 16, 1945. The two farmed with G. Dewey Brown and sons and lived at the "home place" on Connell Hill Road until 1973. The couple raised two daughters, Becky Ann Lowry, now of Tucson, Ariz., and Linda Kay McKeirnan of Pomeroy. Barbara was involved with many local clubs and activities over the years. She was a member of Eastern Star Lodge, the Heart Association, the Jaycee-ettes and Tri-Plex. She was the guardian of Job's Daughters and helped establish the first 4-H Horse Club. Alzheimer's crept slowly into her life about 12 years ago. Before that time she was a whirlwind of energy. She cooked for harvest crews of 20 or more in the early days and was notorious for her housekeeping skills. Her grandchildren were a source of pride and entertainment later.
