Description	:	Barbara Jeanne Coleman formerly of Ottumwa and Fremont died Aug. 31, 1990 at Bethany Manor in Story City. She was born May 7, 1923, in Ottumwa to Claude and Dorothea Black Rogers. She married Donald Eugene Coleman on June 14, 1941; he died June 4, 1975. She grew up in Ottumwa and later, with her husband, moved to Fremont, where they operated Highway 63 Cafe. They moved to Fort Myers, Fla., where they lived for nine years, then moved to Elberton, Fla., where they lived for eight years. They then moved to Story City. She was a former member of... Read More	Barbara Jeanne Coleman formerly of Ottumwa and Fremont died Aug. 31, 1990 at Bethany Manor in Story City. She was born May 7, 1923, in Ottumwa to Claude and Dorothea Black Rogers. She married Donald Eugene Coleman on June 14, 1941; he died June 4, 1975. She grew up in Ottumwa and later, with her husband, moved to Fremont, where they operated Highway 63 Cafe. They moved to Fort Myers, Fla., where they lived for nine years, then moved to Elberton, Fla., where they lived for eight years. They then moved to Story City. She was a former member of Davis Street Christian Church in Ottumwa and a member of Palm Grove Mobile Home Association. She is survived by her mother, Dorothea Black of Ottumwa; three daughters, Judy Ringelestein of Ames, Linda Hebert of Van Buren, Maine, and Connie Blackwell of Marshalltown; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; a sister, Helen Nelson; and a brother, Richard Rogers. A joint memorial service for Barbara and her husband Donald, who died in 1975, will be 10:30 a m. Thursday at Shrine of Memories Funeral Home in Ottumwa, the Rev. Cecil Simonton of Davis Street Christian Church officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
