Description	:	The funeral was held Friday, May 21 at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Kenmare, for Mrs. Otis (Barbara Joan) Schwartz, age 65, who died unexpectedly while in Minot on Tuesday, May 18th. During the services, Rev. Grant Piehl officiated, Mrs. Dwight Flygare was organist and Bud Carlson sang. Pallbearers were Oscar Kostad, Gordon James, Allen Helmers, Jim Tony Thiel and Russel Anderson. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery with Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Barbara Joan Fry was born March 22, 1917, at Knutsford, Chesire, England. She was reared there and employed in the area prior to her marriage to Otis Schwartz, who was in American military service, March 31, 1945, at Knutsford. Following his discharge, she came with her husband to the United States and Kenmare where he resumed his farming interests. They since have lived in the area. Mrs. Schwartz was a member of church and the Women's Society of Christian Service, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Kenmare Guild. Surviving Barbara are her husband; son, John, Kenmare; daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Susan) Tando, Kennewick, Wash.; and Mrs. Steve (Joan) Burnside, Minot; five grandchildren. From The Kenmare News
