Description	:	Joan Ullrich, 77, Logan, died Friday, Oct. 18, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Neb. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Logan United Methodist Church in Logan. Barbara Joan Ullrich was born Sept. 6, 1936, to John Henry and Clara Jane (Mefferd) Lewis near Dunlap. At a young age, Joan and her family moved to Magnolia. She was raised on the family farm near Magnolia and graduated from Magnolia High School. She then started to work at the Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, Neb. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Logan United Methodist Church in Logan. Barbara Joan Ullrich was born Sept. 6, 1936, to John Henry and Clara Jane (Mefferd) Lewis near Dunlap. At a young age, Joan and her family moved to Magnolia. She was raised on the family farm near Magnolia and graduated from Magnolia High School. She then started to work at the Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, Neb. On July 20, 1957, Joan married Arlen "Butch" Ullrich at the United Methodist Church in Logan. The couple lived in Omaha, Neb., for eight years and then moved to their farm between Logan and Magnolia in 1965. After her children were all in school, Joan began her career at the Harrison County Clerk of Court's Office until her retirement. Joan's family was first and foremost in her life. She enjoyed going to the various activities of her children and grandchildren. Joan was a wonderful cook and made the holidays very special for her family. She also enjoyed being in a card club, and in her retired years, she loved reconnecting with her neighbors over coffee. Joan loved to dance, read and travel, and she was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Creighton Bluejays fan. She was a member of Logan United Methodist Church. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jane Lewis; two infant siblings; and brother-in-law, Robert Street. She is survived by her husband, Butch Ullrich, Logan; four children, Jeff (Linda) Ullrich, Omaha, Neb.; Mark Ullrich, Omaha, Neb.; Steve (Gina) Ullrich, Fort Worth, Texas; and Barbara (Bill) Buenz, Edina, Minn.; five grandchildren, Renee Ullrich, Emily, Meredith and Johnny Buenz, and Lauren Ullrich; brother, Jack (Beba) Lewis, Papillion, Neb.; sister, Lorraine Street, Omaha, Neb.; and many other relatives and friends. Arrangements by Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine. Officiants: Pastor Scott Weber and Pastor Patti Ford. Musicians: Vicky Koenig, Rick Powell and Renee Ullrich. Pallbearers: Cecil Branstetter, Dean Corpman, Pat Dague, Paul Davis, Ron Kersten, Skip Leonard, Clifford Miles and Duane Weber. Burial was in Woodbine Cemetery near Woodbine.
