Iola Register June 12, 2010∼McCrary, Barbara Joyce Remsberg loving wife, mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on June 8, 2010. Barbara was born to Mildred and Amos Remsberg on December 7, 1934 in LaHarpe, KS and grew up in Iola, KS with her sister Carol Remsberg Ensminger. Barbara and her husband Don moved to the White Rock area in Dallas in 1969. Barbara worked for many years in the office at Reinhardt Elementary School. Since retiring she has been an active volunteer at White Rock Center of Hope and Senior Net as well as an active member of the Choir at White Rock United Methodist Church. She loved to quilt, read, travel and play with her grandkids. Barbara is survived by her husband of 49 years Donald H. McCrary, sister and brother-in-law Carol and George Ensminger of Emporia, KS, son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Rita McCrary of Garland, TX, daughter and son-in-law Marcia and Steve Willis of Seneca, SC, and grandchildren Sam and Jack Willis, Nicole, Jacob, and Adrienne McCrary. A memorial service will be held at White Rock United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 12th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to White Rock Center of Hope, P.O. Box 180358 Dallas, TX 75218.
