At the age of 88 years, 3 months and 2 days. The maiden name of the deceased was Barbara Keller Roder and she was born in Offenburg, Baden, Germany, on Dec. 18, 1830, and came to America with her parents, landing here in the spring of 1837. On the 6th of March, 1857, she was married to Jacob Miller and with her husband went into housekeeping on the farm upon which she died, having resided there for 62 years. Her husband died July 30, 1898. She was the mother of 12 children of whom six sons and one daughter survive her. She was the mother of County Clerk, I.E. Miller of Ottawa, Ohio. Her funeral was held at the country church near her home, Rev. Eckhart of Lima officiating, and her remains were laid in the burial grounds connected with the church.
