Barbara Kline was born October 3, 1964 in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of William and Marcena Zeller Kline. She graduated from BGM High School in 1983 and attended a trade school in Hospitality Management. Barbara married Robert Parker on August 20, 1988 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Barb worked for a travel company in North Carolina, and delivered rural mail for the postal service. She also worked at the school cafeteria and the nursing home in Brooklyn. Barb was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn, the Altar and Rosary Society of which she had served as president. She also was a catechism teacher. Barb was treasurer for the Cub Scouts, and attended the Madison Township Card Club. She loved to garden with her mom, reading, camping and playing cards. But most of all, she just loved being a mom and all the fun and work that goes with it. Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert Parker, four children, Bobby Parker (Emma) of Grinnell, and Rebecca, Billy and Bradley, all of Brooklyn; her mother Marcena Kline of Brooklyn; five brothers, Joe Kline (Sandy) of Monticello, John Kline of Strawberry Point, Mike Kline (Kim) of Stanhope, Tom Kline of Ames, and Ed Kline (Diana) of Brooklyn; four sisters, Susan Kline of Milwaukee, WI, Cathy McConnell (Curt Manatt) of Johnston, Linda Law (Tom) of West Burlington and Lorry McClenathan (Dave) of Victor; and 52 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, a sister Jane Kline, and her father- in law and mother-in-law, William and Deewies Parker.
