Description	:	Schlaht, Barbara "Bobbie" Barbara "Bobbie" Lois Schlaht, 88, of Billings, passed away on June 24, 2006, at Ken and Eileen's home in Billings. Bobbie was born on her father's birthday, April 24, 1918, on a farm near Broadview, to Lawrence and Fannie (Maxwell) Kirch. At a young age, the family moved to Billings where Barbara was raised and educated. After high school graduation, she attended beauty college for two years. Read More	Schlaht, Barbara "Bobbie" Barbara "Bobbie" Lois Schlaht, 88, of Billings, passed away on June 24, 2006, at Ken and Eileen's home in Billings. Bobbie was born on her father's birthday, April 24, 1918, on a farm near Broadview, to Lawrence and Fannie (Maxwell) Kirch. At a young age, the family moved to Billings where Barbara was raised and educated. After high school graduation, she attended beauty college for two years. On Oct. 20, 1936, she married Dan Bedford in Columbus. They moved to Alaska, where Barbara worked as a beautician and raised her two children. In 1958, she and the children returned to Billings where she went to work at Hart-Albin's and later Higginbotham's Jewelers for seven years. In 1966, she married Earl Schlaht. He passed away on Jan. 16, 1997. Bobbie enjoyed painting, crocheting, handcrafts and reading. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Fannie Kirch; her husband, Earl Schlaht; sister, Lorene McKelvie and stepdaughter, Vivian Sievert. She is survived by her children, Barbara Pastian-Brotzman of Helena, and Dale (Dela) Bedford of Hungary Horse, Mont.; stepchildren, Kenneth (Eileen) Schlaht of Billings, Larry Schlaht of Wyoming, Janet (Duane) Clark of Billings, and Dena Schlaht (Connie) of Bozeman; five grandchildren, Scott Pastian, Bets Kruger, Wanda Bedford, Tonya Liciaga, and Lawrence Bedford; 10 step grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Before Bobbie passed away, her last words were " I Love You All. Goodbye." "Ditto. We Love You Too." Cremation has taken place. Family graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
