Barbara Mae Coburn was born on March 25, 1924 in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of Estel and Thelma (Kiracofe) Coburn. She graduated from Willard High School in 1942. She then served in the United States Navy from 1944-1945. While in the service she met her husband Ralph H. Eggers and they were married on January 24, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida; he later died on December 30, 2001. Bobbie was the postmaster at the Andover Post Office for 24 years. She was a member... Barbara Mae Coburn was born on March 25, 1924 in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of Estel and Thelma (Kiracofe) Coburn. She graduated from Willard High School in 1942. She then served in the United States Navy from 1944-1945. While in the service she met her husband Ralph H. Eggers and they were married on January 24, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida; he later died on December 30, 2001. Bobbie was the postmaster at the Andover Post Office for 24 years. She was a member of the Lyons Trinity United Methodist Church and it’s Martha Circle, past-president of the Miles American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of NARFE. She enjoyed traveling in the winter with her husband, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
