Description	:	[Weeping Water Republican, October 29, 1953] Mrs. Ed Bobbett Dies In Accident Mrs. Edward Bobbett, 49, a former Weeping Water resident, died enroute to a hospital from injuries suffered in a 3-car crash near Noel, Mo., Sunday evening. As near as relatives in Weeping Water have been able to determine, Mr. and Mrs. Bobbett were returning to their farm home near Sulphur Spring, Ark., when without warning, they saw a parked car on the highway without lights. As near as relatives in Weeping Water have been able to determine, Mr. and Mrs. Bobbett were returning to their farm home near Sulphur Spring, Ark., when without warning, they saw a parked car on the highway without lights. In an attempt to miss the parked car, they were struck by an oncoming car, the impact driving the engine of the Bobbett car back under the dash. Mr. Bobbett though seriously injured, was able to tell authorities who to notify. It was not learned whether or not there were occupants in the stalled car. Surviving beside Mr. Bobbett are daughter, Mrs. Donald King, Honolulu, Hawaii; 3 brothers, Harvey Rich, Lincoln, Elmer Rich, Gering, and Melvin Rich, Deer Creek, Ill. Mrs. King arrived from Hawaii by plane Tuesday night. Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbett will be held at the Methodist church in Weeping Water, at 2:00 p.m., Friday, with burial in Oakwood cemetery. The Hobson Funeral Home will be in of arrangements.
