Barbara was born on April 23, 1928 in Harvey to Peter and Annie (Richter) Wack. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Wellsburg. She continued working on the family farm with one of her jobs being herding cattle on horseback. Barbara was also a nurse’s aide at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey. Barbara met the love of her life, Adam J. Keller at St. Anthony’s Church in Selz. They had their first date at Festival Hall in Fessenden in 1946. They danced the night away and continued to dance for the next 75 years. Barbara and Adam were married on January 5, 1948 at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Selz. They were happily married and celebrated their 73rd anniversary on January 5, 2021. Barbara was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and Christian Mothers. Sewing, fishing, baking and cooking were her favorite pastimes. She passed on her homemade chicken soup and fried chicken recipes to her children and grandchildren, which they always requested when they came to visit. She is survived by her husband, Adam of 73 years; children, Peggy (Charlie) Bauslaugh of Harvey; Tammy (Larry) Krien of Bismarck; Tom (Diane) Keller of Harvey, Debbie (Kelley Chamberlain) of White Bird, ID, Tim (Kathey) Keller of Harvey, Rick (Sandra) Keller of Casselton; Lisa (Ed) James of Grand Forks; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 step granddaughter; 2 step great-grandchildren; sisters, Anne Axtman of Harvey, Sharon Held of Hankinson, ND and Lorraine Richter of Kent, WA; two sisters-in-law, Alice Wack of Esmond and Helen Axtman of Billings, MT; many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; Peter and Annie (Richter) Wack; son Ronald A.
