Yesterday morning he came to Cairo from his home seven miles southwest of town, and leaving his team here took the train to Grand Isladn, where he went to look after business connected with settling the estate of his father, who died about two months ago. He returned on the afternoon train, and laded his wagon with woven wire fencing, starting for home somewhere a little before 7 o'clock. some time later his team appeared at the Ray Green farm about four miles out, and F. M. Dunlap, who occupies the place, caught them. the driver not appearing he with J. R. Herrick, who lives a little closer to town, went out to look, and found Mr. Putscher near Herrick place already dead. His neck and various other bones were broken, and death was doubtless immediately caused when he fell from the wagon, unless, as was slightly indicated, he had been caught in a wheel and dragged. It is not known just how the accident happened, as no one saw it. The deceased leaves a wife and two children, one a young lady grown and a smaller boy. Also two sister, Mrs. S. O. Brundage and Mrs. Amanda Vierk, both residents west of Cairo. It is not known at this time when the funeral will be held. the deceased was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
