Description	:	B. Van der Zwaag, a farmer who lived live miles north of town, died very suddenly last Thursday in Chicago, whither he had been called two weeks ago to attend a law suit. On Tuesday of last week his wife received a letter stating that he would be home Thursday morning. Mrs. Van der Zwaag was at the train to meet him, but instead of doing so received a telegram stating that, Mr. Van der Zwaag was very sick and telling her to come at once. She left on the first train, but Mr. Van der Zwaag died Thursday evening,... Read More	B. Van der Zwaag, a farmer who lived live miles north of town, died very suddenly last Thursday in Chicago, whither he had been called two weeks ago to attend a law suit. Mrs. Van der Zwaag was at the train to meet him, but instead of doing so received a telegram stating that, Mr. Van der Zwaag was very sick and telling her to come at once. She left on the first train, but Mr. Van der Zwaag died Thursday evening, some hours before her arrival. Death resulted from cholera morbus. The body was brought here yesterday and was taken to Midlleburgh for burial. The funeral was held at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, Rev. Koster, of the Middleburgh church conducting the services. Deceased was fifty-three years of age and was a good and highly respected citizen. The widow has great sympathy in her bereavement. Sioux County Herald 1897-10-27.
