Bathsheba Werden and Silas Armstrong, both of Norwich, were married on July 3, 1750. Their children include: Worth, born August 27, 1751 Jabaz, born August 28, 1754 Leucretia, born December 29, 1759 Betty, born May 25, 1762 Temperance, born November 11, 1765 Silas Armstrong of Norwich died September 9, 1786, and Bathsheba Armstrong of Norwich died September 26, 1788. (Norwich Vital Records, I:322–323.) In the will of her husband, Silas Armstrong, dated Norwich, September 5, 1786, he gives his wife Bathsheba, during her widowhood, the improvement of all his real estate, with all his right in the Lot of land lying on the north side of Plain Hills, that was given to them by "our Honored Father Thomas Worden, Decd", and also all his personal estate. He also names his sons Worth and Jabez, and his daughters Lucretia; Betty, wife of William Barker; and Temperance. He appointed his son Jabez as executor. "Know all men by these presents that I Bathsheba Armstrong of Norwich (Widow Woman) in the County of New London & State of Connecticut Considering the Mortality of my body & I Being in a poor State of health But yet in my Right understanding. Have Now thought fit to Settle & Dispose of my Worldly Goods, & Estate by this my Last Will & testament in Manner & form following that is to Say after my Just Debts & funeral charges are paid & Discharged I Give & Bequeathe unto my three Daughters (viz) Lucretia Armstrong, Betty Barker (the wife of William Barker) & Temprence Armstrong or to the Lawful heirs of their bodies all the Personal Estate that I the Bathsheba Shall Die Possessed of to be to their Dispose for Ever. "Item I Give & Bequeath unto the Children & heirs of my Son Worth Armstrong & to my Son Jabez Armstrong & to their Heirs & assigns for Ever that Lot of Land on Plain Hills in Norwich which was Set out to me the Sd. Bathsheba in the Division of the Estate of my Honoured Father Mr. Thomas Worden Late of Norwich Decd. it Being Eleven acres & 140 Rods of Land to be Equally Divided Between them the Sd. Children & heirs of the Sd. Worth Armstrong & the Said Jabez Armstrong upon Condition that the Children & heirs of the Sd. Worth & the Sd. Jabez pay to my three Daughters above Named or to the Lawfull heirs of their bodies thirty pounds Lawful money (that is to Say)—ten pounds to Each of Sd. Daughters within one year after my Decease & that the Heirs of my Sd. Son Worth & the Sd. Jabez be Equal in the payment of Sd. thirty pounds, & further my Will is So to be understood & So order it that if the Children & heirs of my Sd. Son Worth & my Sd. Son Jabez Neglect of Refuse to make payment of the aforesaid thirty pounds as above Expressed, then my will lis Such that I Do hereby Give & Bequeath unto my Sd. Daughters their Heirs &c five acres of the above Said Land to be Equally Divided Between them my Sd. Daughters. "Finally I Do hereby Constitute & appoint my above Named Son Jabez Armstrong to be my Sole Executor to this my Last Will & Testement & I Do hereby Solemnly Revoke make Null & Void all other wills, Testements & Bequests by me heretofore made Ratefying & allowing this & No other to be my Last will & testament "In witness whereof I the Sd.
