Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be an Altar Society Rosary at 3:00 p.m. and a Public Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Beata was born on January 9, 1920 at the farm home of John and Katherine (Rebhausen) Kluthe at Dodge, NE. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Olean. Beata attended Sacred Heart Academy at Olean. On April 18, 1944, she was united in marriage to Winfred Batenhorst at Sacred Heart Church at Olean. Winfred and Beata farmed south of Wisner until they moved to Beemer in 1996. She was an active farm wife, helped with farm work, also loved gardening, canning, flowers, and sewing. Beata was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Beemer, its Altar Society, and sang in the church choir for forty years. She also volunteered at the nursing home, at church, and meals on wheels. Beata loved to travel and square danced for forty five years. Survivors include her husband Winfred of Beemer, NE, daughter Edith and husband Ed McLarney of Houston, TX, son Lorin and wife Jan Batenhorst of Wisner, NE, 5 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, Kyle McLarney, Kevin and wife Dee Ann McLarney and children-Elle and Lane, Shane and wife Tammy Batenhorst and children-Bailey, Maci and Spencer, Kurt and wife Susan Batenhorst and children-Dani, Ally and Casey, Tiffany Olson and sons-Adam, Jacob and Will, sister Norma and husband Leonard Bruning of Dodge, NE, and brother Eldon and wife Doris Kluthe of Cairo, NE. Beata is preceded in death by her parents, brothers-Alfred and Donald Kluthe, and sisters-Isabella Timmerman, Herenia Pfrunder, Agnes Christmas, Grace Kenney, and Blanche Kluthe.
