Burial followed at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Polo, S.D. Beatrice Bonita Foerster was born October 5, 1940 at the Faulkton Hospital to Leo and Mayme (Kopecky) Foerster. She grew up with her 3 brothers and 3 sisters on the family farm west of Polo. She attended grade school and high school in Polo, graduating in 1959. In 1980, Bea and her parents moved to Polo. Following high school, Bea worked for the priest in Polo, and also at the Polo High School for many years. She also cared for her parents until their passing. Bea was a past member of St. Liborious Catholic Church, and a church band member. She was a long time past member of the Orient/Polo Right to Life Organization. She was a current member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Orient, and St. Joseph's Altar Society. She enjoyed watching, and even playing softball. She was on the 1981 Orient women's state slow-pitch championship team. Bea loved being where the action was, whether it was ball games, parties, a drive around the countryside, or just sitting in her favorite chair visiting with friends and family. In the mid 1990's Bea moved to Orient, where she called home until September 2010, when she made her new home at the Faulkton Healthcare Center. Everyone in the area will remember "Bea's Potato Salad." Many have tried, and many have failed, to copy her famous recipe. She made her legendary potato salad for many ball tournaments, weddings, graduations, and birthday parties. Bea was everyone's "Best Friend." She accepted a lot in her lifetime, and will be greatly missed and loved. She is survived by her sister, Marcella (Eddie) Craze of Sun Lake, AZ: her brother Art (Rosie) Foerster of Lincoln, NE; sister-in-law, Janize Nissen, Rapid City, SD; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Bea was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings: Lee, Bonnie, Duane, and Mary Ann.
