Age 100 years. She was married to George W. Eichinger on November 14, 1942 and for 74 years they shared their love. George preceded her in death on January 15, 2017. Betty was lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran church in Bay City, MI. She served as a lunch lady when her boys were young, was an active member of Immanuel’s Ladies Aid, and served her congregation and the Lord in many ways. Prior to retirement Betty was a secretary at the former Bay Osteopathic Hospital. Betty and George spent their last years together at Chelsea Retirement Community in Chelsea, MI. She is survived by her 3 sons: Thomas G. (Carol E.) Eichinger, John B. (Lynette) Eichinger and Robert D. Eichinger, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral and committal service will be Friday, September 18, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Social distancing will be observed and face covering will be required. The Rev. Kevin C. Jones will officiate. Private burial will be at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. The family will greet friends at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. OBIT MI Publications
