Beatrice was the fourth daughter of William and Mary Kennedy. Bea was born on the family farm in the Sunset Hills district on March 22, 1927. She rode a horse four miles to the Sunset Hills School where she received all her schooling. After school, she started working in Banff where she met Lou Buries. Read More	BURLE8 Mrs. Beatrice Buries of Bentley passed away in the Bentley General Hospital on January 6, 1995 at the age of 67 years. Beatrice was the fourth daughter of William and Mary Kennedy. Bea was born on the family farm in the Sunset Hills district on March 22, 1927. She rode a horse four miles to the Sunset Hills School where she received all her schooling. After school, she started working in Banff where she met Lou Buries. They were married on May 18, 1950, and lived in the Lundbreck area for two years. In 1952 they moved to Bentley district where they started raising cattle. They bought the farm where Bea lived as a girl. They expanded the operations till they had quite a big ranch. They were one of the first breeders to cross Charolais and British cattle. The neighbors said that Bea could spot a sick calf at a quarter of a mile. In 1991 they sold their spread and retired to Bentley. The last ten years of her life she suffered with Rheumatoid Arthritis but always managed a cheerful laugh even when In pain. Bea Is survived by her loving husband Louis, three sisters Marie Moe (Jack), Margaret Dawson (George), Frances Wyatt (Frank), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother William. Funeral Services will be held from the Forshee Community Centre on Wednesday, January 11, 1995 at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Greg Rathjen officiating. Interment will follow In the Vig Cemetery.
