They moved to California when she was just a child. Read More	"Dollie" Beatrice Priscilla Franken was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 29, 1919, the youngest of four children, to the late Rena and Sander van Dalfsen. They moved to California when she was just a child. Dollie married Everette James Franken, predeceased, in 1942 and they had four children: Rene, Arlene, Arie and Richard, 7 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Dollie was fortunate to have traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. She enjoyed life and living strong and independent. At the age of 14 she drove her family across the United States in a Model T. She was the last living alumni of Redlands Christian School Class of 1933. Before marriage she worked at the Wissahickon Inn in Redlands and remembered waiting on many famous people during that time. She loved baking and was famous for her Oliebollen "Dutch Doughnuts", canning her apricots, and active in her church. Her age did not slow her down until the end. Dollie passed away peacefully in her sleep at the grand old age of 101 on January 21, 2021. A reference to Dollie Van Dalfsen as a member of the Redlands Senior High School, Class of 1937 was found on a yearbooks, etc., website.
