Beda Ahlgren, daughter of Petre John and Amanda Ahlgren was born on a farm near Swede Home Nebr. February 14, 1886 and departed this life on the 9th day of January, 1943, at the age of 56 years, 10 months and 25 days. She was one of six children. Beda Ahlgren, daughter of Petre John and Amanda Ahlgren was born on a farm near Swede Home Nebr. February 14, 1886 and departed this life on the 9th day of January, 1943, at the age of 56 years, 10 months and 25 days. She was one of six children. Her parents and two sisters, Hennie and Ellen, have preceded her in death. On the 19th day of February 1903, she was united in marriage to Carl Oscar Fredrickson and they made their home on a farm in the High Prairie community until the past two years when they resided in Stromsburg. Seven children were born to this union: two sons: Ansel and Marvin, and five daughters: Mrs Myrtle Johnson, Mrs Opal Peterson, Mrs Sylvia Johnson and LaVerne, all of this community, and Mrs Pearl Dailey of Los Angeles. Besides her husband and children, she leaves surviving her, three sisters: Mrs John Johnson of Stromsburg, Mrs Victor Newman of York and Mrs Fred White of Los Angeles: five grandchildren and a step mother, Mrs Ella Ahlgren of American Falls, Idaho and many relatives and friends. Mrs Fredrickson was a member of the Swede Home Lutheran church. She always took a great interest in all church activities. She was a devoted wife and mother and a true friend. Her death seems untimely and her love and tender care will be missed by her family, but to them comes consolation in the knowledge that she lived a full and useful life, enriched by the love of a devoted family. Funeral services were held in the home and the Swede Home Lutheran Church on Tuesday, January 12th with Rev C A Sward officiating. Burial was in the Swede Home cemetery.
