Description	:	Services for B.M. (Blackie) Heffelfinger of Nebraska city, 73, who died Thursday at St Mary's hospital, will be held at 2 pm Monday at the Gude Moruary Chapel. Heffelfinger was born the son of Otis and Dora Heffelfinger on Aug. 2, 1911, in Beatrice. He later married Ruby Creek, who still survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Jerri) Graham of Pasco, Wash.; Mrs. Merrill (Pat) Sparr and Mrs. Don (Jane) Randle, both of Nebraska City. He owned and operated the Arbor Motel in Nebraska City, and was a butcher for Bill Gosch and Stephenson's Locker. Heffelfinger belonged to the First United Methodist Church. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army, serving in Europe. He was in the Battle of the Bulge, took part in the invasion of Normandy, and received a silver star. Burial will be in the Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. The Rev. Jay Funk will officiate. Pall bearers will be Mike Sparr, David Harker, Cal Creek, Scott Creek, Robert Heffelfinger and Gale Heffelfinger. Gude Mortary is in charge of funeral arrangements.
