Read More	Boone County Democrat May 17, 1907 We are called upon this week to chronicle the death of Mrs. Clarence Pebbles, nee Belle Steffy, which occurred at 7:00 o'clock Saturday morning, May 11th, at the home of Jess Pebbles at Incline where they have resided since their marriage last October. For over a year consumption had fastened its fatal fangs upon her vitals and kept eating her life away. For the last four weeks her death was expected at any hour. Deceased was born in Boonsboro May 25th, 1889, and lacked only fourteen days of being eighteen years of age at the time of her death. She was raised in this community from childhood and was highly esteemed by all. She united with the Gospel Tabernacle two years ago and had since lived a devoted Christian life. Her faith was faithful until the Savior called her home. Thus a beautiful life and a loving wife has portrayed a shining light for all to be guided by. The pall bearers were all her young associates, Ethel and Eva Paterson, Mattie Johnson, Lillie Killian, Lottie McIntosh and Luella Buckley. The flowers and wreathes were many and beautiful, the inscription on the casket worded, "At Rest." The funeral services were held from the Incline school house at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning, conducted by the Revs. J.C.Crawford and Charles Davis, each paying a touching tribute to the departed sister. The remains were tenderly borne to their last resting place in Bluff Creek cemetery followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends. She leaves an affectionate young husband, a kind father, four sisters and two brothers with a host of friends to mourn her untimely death.
