Description	:	As a little girl, Bena Jacobs lived in a sod house. Later she helped build an exact replica of the house at Prairie Village in Madison, SD. For nearly 25 years, the house was under her care. Bena Jacobs, 94, formerly of Lennox and Madison, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 199 at Appleton Nursing Home in Appleton, MN. She spent many summer days at the village and also gave tours. She especially enjoyed being there and inviting visitors in to have tea, said her niece, Ann Wilkening of Appleton. In 1910 she moved with her family to Alberta, Canada, where she lived in a sod house. In 1915, they returned to Lennox. She graduated from Lennox High School in 1923. She taught school in Turner and Lincoln Counties. She received her teaching degree from Eastern States Teachers College in Madison and taught in Webster for eight years. In 1982 she moved to Lennox and them moved to Appleton in 1993 to be near her niece. In addition to her niece, survivors include her sister, Joyce Storican of Gig Harbor, WA.
