In 1852 Jacob and Christina Mosching and their 7 children, Catherine, Christina, Jacob, Magdalena, Anna, Rosina, and Benedict came to America aboard the ship ‘Old England’ from Le Havre, France to New Orleans, LA, and settled on a farm near Manchester, IA. In adulthood both Benedict and his brother Jacob made their lives in western Iowa as farmers. In 1871 Benedict married Elizabeth Race in Pottawattamie, Iowa. They had 2 children. |
