Read More	OBITUARY Benjamin Adamson Cincinnati Review - Benjamin Adamson, one of the well known citizens of Cincinnati, and Appanoose county died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B. K. Chace (Chase), at Trenton, Mo. Sunday July 5, after a long and painful illness covering several months. Mr. Adamson was born November 19, 1835 in Fayette county Ohio and with his parents moved to Lee county in 1839 and a few years later they came to Appanoose county and settled on a farm and here Mr. Adamson spent nearly all the remainder of his life. On October 26, 1860 he was married to Miss Anna R. Walraven with whom he lived happily until her death in 1894 since which time he has lived most of the time with his children. Mr. Adamson was the father of seven children, five daughters and two sons, all of whom were present at the funeral but one. The children are Mrs. Mary E. Wood and W. H. Adamson of Cincinnati, Mrs. Jessie May, Dresden, Kan., Mrs. Anna Chase, Trenton, Mo., Mrs. Ellen McQuistion, Centerville, Mrs. Kate E. McQuistion, Prairie City and Harry E. Adamson of Allerton. At the age of nineteen Mr. Adamson became a member of the Christian church at Fort Madison, Iowa and has always been an honest and upright citizen and had the full confidence and respect of those who knew him. He followed the occupation of a farmer most of his life but for a number of years conducted a meat market in Cincinnati. The remains were brot (brought) here from Trenton and the funeral services were held at the Christian church Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. conducted by Elder Harry Green of Des Moines and was attended by many of the old friends and neighbors of the deceased.
