Born June 27, 1916 in Mexico, Maine he was the son of the late Isaac H. and Lucy (Bridden) Beals. Benjamin was a 1934 graduate of Brockton High School and had lived in Brockton since 1932. Read More	Benjamin Bridden Beals age 97 of Brockton, MA died March 10, 2014 at the Guardian Center in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Glenys M (Groton) Beals. Born June 27, 1916 in Mexico, Maine he was the son of the late Isaac H. and Lucy (Bridden) Beals. Benjamin was a 1934 graduate of Brockton High School and had lived in Brockton since 1932. He served in the U.S. Army and had worked as meat cutter at C.F. Anderson Grocery Store and at Fernandes Supermarkets retiring in 1979. He was a member of Trinity Church in Stoughton and was a former member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and had served on the Vestry for many years. He was also a member of the Brockton Senior Citizens Bowling League. He is survived by two sons Douglas L. Beals of West Bridgewater and Kenneth B. Beals of Midlothian, VA; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was also the father of the late Lawrence Rowan. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 9 – 10 AM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St. Brockton, MA followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 414 Sumner St., Stoughton, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
