Description	:	BENJAMIN C LEFEVER, 92, the oldest citizen of Williamsport, died at his home Saturday evening. He spent his entire life in Williamsport. He was the son of the late Samuel and Ann W (Herr) Lefever, and was born in Williamsport. He was engaged in the manufacturing business for about 50 years. First in the glove business, and later conducted the Lefever Broom Works. He served as postmaster in Williamsport under the Wilson administration. Read More	BENJAMIN C LEFEVER, 92, the oldest citizen of Williamsport, died at his home Saturday evening. He spent his entire life in Williamsport. He was the son of the late Samuel and Ann W (Herr) Lefever, and was born in Williamsport. He was engaged in the manufacturing business for about 50 years. First in the glove business, and later conducted the Lefever Broom Works. He served as postmaster in Williamsport under the Wilson administration. He was a member of Williamsport Zion Lutheran Church. The deceased was the oldest member from the standpoint of length of membership, and also age, of Aaron Lodge No 22 IOOF of Williamsport. He served as financial secretary of the lodge for a number of years. He was a charter member of Ruth Rebecca Lodge No 5 IOOF, and also of Order of Encampment. He was a member of the Williamsport Fire Co. He served as president of Washington County National Bank for several years. Upon consolidation of this bank with the Savings Bank of Williamsport into the Washington County Savings National Bank, he was made chairman of the board of directors, and served in that capacity until the time of his death. He was active in Democratic politics and managed the Democratic party in the Williamsport district for a number of years. He made several scrapbooks containing information on different events. They will be donated to the Williamsport Library. Services will be held from the home at 2 pm Tuesday with the Rev W C Huddle officiating; interment in Riverview Cemetery, Williamsport. The odd Fellows will conduct service at the grave. Honorary pallbearers will be directors of the Washington County Savings National Bank.
