Description	:	Passes away at home here; Benjamin D. Crosley, 75, died at his home, 2332 Avenue J, at 7:15 this morning following an illness of one years. He was born in Jefferson township, Lee county, October 28, 1858, and was a life long resident of the county. He lived in Fort Madison for the past 50 years. He was born in Jefferson township, Lee county, October 28, 1858, and was a life long resident of the county. He lived in Fort Madison for the past 50 years. He was a well known carpenter and contractor. Mr. Crosley was a member of Homesteaders' lodge, L. O. O. M., and of I. O. O. F. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. B. D. Crosley; three sons, Albert L. Crosley, Robert V. Crosley and Theodore M. Crosley, all of this city; two daughters, Mrs. George Weaver of this city, and Miss Gertrude Crosley, at home; seven grandchildren, Marie, Robertus, Clarence and Ardalee Crosley, Mrs. Kenneth Magel and Vincent Weaver all of this city, and Mrs. Faye Masters of Jacksonville, Fla., and one great grandchild, Kenneth Don Magel, of this city. Funeral services will be held at Clements' chapel at 3:30 Thursday afternoon with S. W. Mitchell, former first reader of the local Christian Science Society, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Mr. Crosley's passing takes the last member of a family of 12 children. (The Evening Democrat, Fort Madison, Iowa, Tuesday, February 13, 1934)
