He was born June 4, 1937 in Horry County, a son of the late Freeman and Prudie Hardee Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a member of First Baptist Church in Conway and the Angler Sunday school class. Anderson, Sr., age 82, arrived in Heaven on Tuesday, January 15, 2020 in the early morning hours, surrounded by his family. He was born June 4, 1937 in Horry County, a son of the late Freeman and Prudie Hardee Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a member of First Baptist Church in Conway and the Angler Sunday school class. He was a retired business owner, specializing in the automotive field. After high school, Mr. Anderson served in the United States Air Force and the United States Navy. During this time, he was stationed in Hawaii and then returned to Conway permanently. He loved boating and was an expert skier but most of all, he loved his family. "As long as my family is okay, I am okay" he would always say. He will always be remembered by his family and close friends as a strong, soft-spoken, gentle man. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Sarah Stevens (Vernon) and Bobbie Hardee (Eldred). Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy Price Anderson; two sons, Dr. Ben Anderson, Jr. of Boca Raton, FL and Paul Anderson (Billie Ann) of Conway; and two very special granddaughters, Christina Anderson of Boca Raton, FL and Anna B. Causey. Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, officiated by Rev. Rocky Taylor. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel is serving the family.
