Description	:	Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the First Presbyterian church for Bennie F. Craig, 58, with the Rev. L. D. Throckmorton officiating. A quartet, namely, Mrs. Amos Doeringsfeld, Mrs. Otho Rix, Gilbert Erdmann and Paul E. Krueger, sang "God Will Take Care of You" and "Rock of Ages." Mrs. Doeringsfeld sang a solo, "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Joe Williams presided at the organ. Burial was in the Groton cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur Rix, Roy Edwards, Rangvold Larson, Raymond Wing, Randall Peteson, Sr., Mathieu Rock, Wm Heitman and Elmer Herron. Mr. Craig passes away at St. Luke's hospital in Aberdeen, Wednesday, July 31, following a brief illness. Bennie, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Craig, was born near James and grew to manhood in the Groton vicinity, where he resided his entire life. He attended high school in Groton and later engaged in farming. On Sept. 23, 1920, he was united in marriage to Hilda Simonson. To this union three children were born. Mr. Craig was a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors include his wife, Hilda; two sons, Dana and James of San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Louis (Joyce) Kraft, 523 N. Lloyd, Aberdeen; one brother, Clarence Craig; two sisters, Mrs. Gilbert (Estella) Erdmann and Mrs. Eugene (Dorothy) Miller; a foster sister, Mrs. Reginald (Lucilla) Dougherty, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and a brother. The deceased's genial disposition and kindness won him the friendship of all who knew him. He was a loving husband and father and his departure brought grief to his family and friends. Sympathy is extended to the family in the loss of their loved one. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the last rites were: Dana and James Craig, San Diego, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Brown, Princeton, Minn.; Mrs. Sue Armstrong, Seattle, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wahl, Columbia; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Miller, Grand Forks, N. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Dougherty and William Gallaughter, St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Simonson, Jack and Donald Turton; Stuart Mickelson, Igloo; Robert Mickelson, Selby; Mrs. Gertrude Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carruth, Andover; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lederman, Crandall, and a host of friends and relatives from Aberdeen.
