Mr. Copeland who had lived here ??? a half years, was born on November 21, 1876 in St. Clair County, Mo. He was married on 1901 at Appleton City, Mo. He came to El Dorado from Iola. Mr. Copeland is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Edna Faye Bolin, Mrs. Georgia Smith and Mrs. Goldie Rose Church, all of El Dorado, three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Lewellen, of Biggs, Calif., Mrs. Bertha McCoy, of Tucumcart, N. M. and Mrs. Golda Layton of Maynord, N. Mex. And two brothers, James Copeland of Mullinsville, and John Copeland of Iola. Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Arnold-Kirby Funeral Home and interment will be made in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery. Rev. Alvin W. Murray, pastor of the Methodist Church, will be in charge of the services. (El Dorado Times, June 19, 1945) Funeral services for Benjamin F. Copeland, who died Friday were held Saturday afternoon at the Arnold-Kirby Funeral Home with Rev. Alvin W. Murray, pastor of the Methodist Church, in charge. Burial was in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery. The pallbearers included W. B. Brown, Harry Keesler, Charles Keesler, Charles King, P. O. Tarrant, Everett Needham and R. I. Church, Mrs. H. L. Campbell played and sang, "Nearer My God To thee," and "The Old Rugged Cross." (El Dorado Times, June 18, 1945)
