Read More	Thanks to contributor #47839291; From Moberly Monitor-Index, Friday, 8-22-1947, pg 8, Ancestry.com BEN PILLERS, ONE OF HUNTSVILLE, DIES OF TRACTOR INJURY Ben Pillers, 61, of Ingham, Neb., died July 24, from internal injuries sustained when the tractor he was driving overturned and pinned him under one wheel. He was moving soil around his ranch buildings in order to prevent further erosion and damage to the foundation. The softness of the ground caused the tractor to slip and overturn. He was taken to a nearby hospital, but died four hours later of severe internal injuries. Mr. Pillers was taken into the home of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Towles of Huntsville, when he was 9 years old. In early manhood he married Miss Lula Hines, who died two years after their marriage. In 1915 he went to Gothenburg, Neb., and in 1920 he married Miss Anna Gronewald in Gothenburg, Neb. He was a member of the Gothenburg Baptist church, although since his marriage he had drawn nearer St. John's Lutheran church of Gothenburg. Mr. Pillers is survived by his wife; his sister, Mrs. Dora Bauer of St. Louis; a foster sister, Mrs. Willie Heifner of Moberly; a foster brother, Lloyd Towles of Washington; seven nieces and one nephew. Miss Mildred Pillers and Mrs. Hubert Alexander of Moberly, nieces of Mr. Pillers, attended the funeral services and spent several days visiting in Gothenburg. Mrs. Heifner, and Mrs. Tommie Guffey, a niece of Moberly, were unable to attend.
