Description | : | Benjamin Franklin Barber was born Dec. 18, 1866, in Joliet, Ill., the son of William and Mary Barber. He came to Iowa when a young boy of 16 and made his home with a sister, Mrs. Rosie Jeffers, who lived about five miles northeast of Hartwick. On February 17, 1892, he was married to Miss Mae Peregey and to this union one son, Charles Frederick, came to bless this home.
