A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Cox, Sr. and Jessie (Christopher) Cox. A retired employee of Daniel Construction Company, he was a U.S. Coast Guard WWII Veteran, a member of Victorian Hills Community Church, a 50 year life member of Reidville Masonic Lodge #102, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Hejaz Shrine Temple. Mr. Cox was predeceased by two sons, Ronald Eugene Cox and Christopher Brian Cox and one brother, Sydney L. Cox. Graveside services were held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Wood Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Roger Greene with Masonic Rites. Visitation was held after the service at the gravesite.
