CORMAN Benjamin Franklin Corman was born at Center Furnas, Center (sic) county (sic), Pa., December 25, 1845, and died at his home near Nelson, Nebraska, July 20, 1917, aged 71 years, 6 months, 25 days. He was married to Mary E. Beck October 16, 1873, and to this union were born five sons and three daughters, Charles W. of Sabetha, Kansas, Harry W., Benjamin F., Nancy E., William A., Edith Grace, Michael G. and Nellie M. They are all living near Nelson, except Nancy E., who died at the age of 11 months. Mr. Cornman had been enjoying reasonable good health until the morning of his death, when the Master called him to a higher and better home than this. He was converted and joined the Presbyterian church (sic) at Cadams in 1908. Deceased also leaves four brothers and one sister: Mrs. William Hall of Guide Rock, John of Oak, Emanuel, Elias and Nathan of Center (sic) county (sic), Penn. He was a carpenter by trade, came west in February, 1879, stopping at Wahoo in Saunders county (sic), three years. He then came to Nuckolls county (sic) and engaged in farming, where he has always lived on the same farm. The funeral service was conducted at the home Sunday afternoon by his former pastor F.G. Knauer of Hastings assisted by Rev. Johnston of Cadams. Interment was made at Nelson. Among the large number that attended the service were: Louis and Grace Andrews, Nevin Heller and Mr. Louder of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. William Hall of Guide Rock, John Corman of Oak, Charley Corman of Sabetha, Kans., Neal Rutland of Hiawatha, Kans.
