Description	:	Ben F. Hash, 88, of Independence, the Grubbs Chapel community, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at Grayson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Independence. He was born Dec. 9, 1915, in Mouth of Wilson, the Crossroads community, to Fielden and Minnie Belle Holdaway Hash. Survivors include his wife, Mintie Rose Hash of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Eugene McPeters of Independence; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary F. and Sandra Hash of Independence; a brother and sister-in-law, John W. and Mary Hash of Dublin; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. ... A funeral was held Sunday at Grubbs Chapel Baptist Church, Independence, with burial in the Grubbs Chapel Cemetery. The Revs. Doug Halsey, Bill Guy and Gene Webb officiated. Military rites were conducted by the Grayson County VFW Post 7726. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
