McDANIEL After a prolonged period of failing health, the culmination of which was a stroke of paralysis some five weeks ago, Benjamin Franklin McDaniel passed to the sun-kissed land of spirits July 25, 1913, at the farm home where he and his wife have reared their large family to manhood, his departure had been expected for some time, nevertheless, the loss is keenly felt following so soon after the death of the daughter. McDANIEL After a prolonged period of failing health, the culmination of which was a stroke of paralysis some five weeks ago, Benjamin Franklin McDaniel passed to the sun-kissed land of spirits July 25, 1913, at the farm home where he and his wife have reared their large family to manhood, his departure had been expected for some time, nevertheless, the loss is keenly felt following so soon after the death of the daughter. He was born in Walnut township, Gallia county, Ohio, January 15, 1845. At the time of his death he had reached the mature age of 68 years, 6 months and 10 days. His marriage was September 18, 1864, to Miss Cynthia Jane Patterson; to this union there were nine sons and two daughters. He was a successful farmer, always careful and honest in business; a strong man physically and likewise fixed in his convictions and views, fearless in expressing the same, and withal ever ready to acknowledge the good that he discovered in others, but never to compromise the right as he understood it with that which was wrong or unjust. There is left to mourn, his wife with whom he spent almost forty-nine happy years, seven grown sons, six grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. Transcribed by Kelly Robert Greer
