Description	:	Benjamin G. Holt was born in Norway, Maine, April 15, 1827. He was married to Betsey E. Hobbs, December 21, 1838. Was the father of eight children, seven of whom are living four boys and three girls. He came to Nebraska from the state of Maine in 1875 and since then has resided in and near Creighton. He served his county during the war, being a member of Company B, 32nd Maine, volunteer infantry and was an honored member of W. H. Irwin Post 70, GAR. David Osgood born in Norway on July 26, 1814. Married on Oct. 25, 1838 to Mary H, daughter of David Trickey of North Yarmouth, ME. They had nine children. Sarah Abbot born in Norway on Feb. 25, 1816. She never married. Jacob Farnum born in Norway Dec. 13, 1817. Married on June 2, 1853 to Emma Jane, daughter of William Frost. They had one child. Rev Stephen Abbot born in Norway on Feb. 13, 1820. Married on May 28, 1850 to Nancy W, daughter of Henry & Nancy Cutler of Winchester, MA. They had four children. He fitted for college at Phillips Academy; graduated at Bowdoin College; studied divinity at Andover theological seminary; ordained Jan. 1, 1850; pastor of Congregational church in Milton, VT. Owing to impaired health, brought on by unremitted labor, he was obliged to relinquish preaching; resides as Winchester. Hannah Farnum born in Norway on Apr. 22, 1822. Married on Dec. 15, 1845 to Rev. Charles Pickard, pastor of Congregational church in Norway. They had four children. Maria P. K. born in Norway on Apr. 9, 1824 and died on Oct. 7, 1842.
